“Ashifashabba” is a brand name that grew from the likeness of Shonisani Aubrey Muleya to “Shabba Ranks” during the “hey days” of Shabba Ranks, Shonisani walked on the run-way at a “Fresher’s Ball” hosted by the Technikon Pretoria spotting the world famous Shabba Ranks side-cropped hairstyle and the name “Shabba” stuck when the crowd cheered him on. Ashifashabba began doing stand-up comedy in 2001 influenced by his African story telling skill and animated voice which allowed him to distinctly create a huge following on YFM 99.2, a Radio Station targeted at the Youth in Gauteng. He used his unique “lingo” to tell African stories by merging all the indigenous languages into a “unique language called the “Ashifa lingo” which eventually led to a recording of his premier stand up CD at the Club Arena in Midrand.

Though he doesn’t perform at comedy clubs or events, you can experience his side splitting comedy at corporate/ government events, weddings and private events.
